JLB Advisors, LLC was founded in 2020 by Jamalia Brashears. Prior to 2020, Jamalia spent seven years building development and fundraising offices for health systems in NYC, successfully securing over $8 million in new multiyear grant awards from government, corporate, and institutional funders.
Ms. Brashears has also led programmatic and philanthropic strategies for foundations that include Robert Wood Johnson, Google, Tides, New York State Health, and Levi Strauss. Download bio.

As a National Urban Fellow with a residency at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Ms. Brashears led the development and implementation of the New Connections Initiative, which developed into a National Program Office.
Ms. Brashears teaches local nonprofits, social entrepreneurs, and funders the innovations and best practices to deepen social impact within organizational operations, programming, and communication.
